New Video from RI

In August 2005, Hurricane Katrina flooded 80 percent of New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. More than 100 public schools were destroyed and some 400,000 students were displaced. One year later, Warren Easton Charter High School, the city’s oldest public high school, reopened with help from The Rotary Foundation and volunteers worldwide.

This short video about Rotary’s impact in New Orleans is just one example of the life-saving work being done by Rotarians.

Doing Good: Supporting Education from Rotary International on Vimeo.

In celebration of World Literacy Day on September 8th, I’d like to invite you to make a special gift to support Rotary’s education and literacy programs.  Consider inviting your family and friends to do the same.

You can direct your Annual Fund gift to SHARE, to help support the local and international activities identified by clubs in your district.  Or, you can direct your entire gift to Rotary’s Basic Education and Literacy fund, to be spent on quality education and literacy projects identified and implemented by Rotarians around the world.  Either way, your contribution will be used to fund high impact, sustainable solutions to our world’s most pressing needs.

When you give to Rotary, you do so knowing there is no other organization that can leverage your contribution through a global network of volunteer and technical experts who are committed to the highest ethical standards.
