We will be staying at the beautiful Hotel Alhambra. The Hotel is located in Granada, Nicaragua; the oldest city in America, founded in 1524 on the shores of Lake Nicaragua. Granada is 45 minutes away from the capital of Managua and from the International Airport. Granada city is ninety minutes away by land from the Costa Rican border.
Each team will also spend time at “Tio Antonio’s”, the largest vocational school in Central America for disabled children and youth.  The teams will also have lunch at the only restaurant in the Western Hemisphere completely staffed by deaf mutes.
Tours to choose from include a sunset hike at the active volcano Masaya, a hike up the Mombacho volcano and zip-line back down, a horse-drawn carriage tour of the city of Granada (how those tiny, bony horses pull carriages full of people, I have no clue), a visit to the market in Masaya, and a boat tour of the 365 islands in Lake Nicaragua.
