The Rotary Club of Commerce wants our Planet to be free of Polio! There is no better way to share this mission than by hosting a Polio Fundraiser at our local Planetarium. Working together with TAMUC’s Planetarium, we’ve set a date for World Polio Day, October 24th, and we’re inviting our community to come out and join us. Each ticket is a suggested donation of $10 for adults or $8 for children under 12. The goal is to raise funds and awareness for End Polio Now while also opening our Rotary doors to prospective new members.
In fact, this is the first of three socials that we’ve scheduled over this next year to invite the community to learn more about Rotary! Seats are VERY limited so if you’d like to attend please reserve your spot quickly! Call Amy Welch at (903) 217-8168 for more information.
The evening will begin with a mixer from 5:45-6:30 and then we’ll move into the theater to view a special Planetarium film, Tales From a Time Traveler, narrated by David Tennant. It will be a wonderful evening of fellowship and fundraising. Come out to Commerce and join us!
