Dearest District 5810 Rotarians,
I can’t believe we are at the end of our 2024-2025 Rotary year of service. I am so grateful for your hard work and amazing year. We showed we are People of Action. You finished the year strong and reached new heights just like we have discussed all year.
I am especially proud of the service projects that we completed together as a District including the Annual Conference International Service cruise and 7 monthly Roundtables, where we gathered to pack 127 boxes of books, shoes and school supplies for international projects and assembled Easter eggs and candy bags for local charities. Plus we collected, boxed and are distributing 1,850+ pairs of shoes and have 15 pallets ready to deliver to Roatan, Honduras once we receive approval from customs. Also individuals and clubs donated 55 wheelchairs in Roatan and Cozumel, which equals blessing many with mobility and freedom.
Thank you for all of your donations this year to Rotary Foundation and PolioPlus. We will have the final numbers soon and will share those with you, but we know we are over $1,000,000. Also as a result of the generous donations from clubs and members in the District we have collected $6,075 for the Alzheimer’s Association and $3,150 for the Book Brigade for the District Governor’s spouse’s two charities of choice.
