The Carrollton-Farmers Branch Rotary Club has long supported the work of Bea's Kids, a local non-profit whose mission is "to provide educational and personal development programs to children from low income families so they will stay in school and break the cycle of poverty."
Even prior to COVID19 shutdowns, select members of the Plano East Rotary club have been leading the effort towards a 100% virtual Rotary experience. This effort is referred to an “eClub,” in anticipation of its spinning off, once the required numbers are reached.
Jack E Singley Academy Interact students just finished their 1st Full Holiday (Flag Day) Flags Over Irving volunteer opportunity. This club has doubled in size from last year & has a full head of steam with service projects, volunteer opportunities, & revenue producing ideas.
The Rockwall High School Interactors were pretty busy despite not able to physically attend school and the required quarantines. In May and early June, they completed two projects. First, the Interactors wrote 174 letters Mother’s Day cards to three nursing homes in Rockwall.
Club President Jerry is pleased to report the Addison Midday Rotary Club raised $2,400 for Education Plus Nicaragua, a charity he worked with on his Rotary trip to Nicaragua. members donated $1,200 and the Addison Midday Foundation matched the donations for an additional $1,200.
The Rockwall Noon Rotary, in conjunction with the Edward Jones office of Kelly D. Connel, celebrated seniors in the Rockwall Community this year by delivering Mother's Day and Father's Day baskets.
Oh what a year! Every year we participate in DREAMTeam, it just gets better! DREAMTeam (which stands for Dallas Rotarians Enabling Achievement through Mentoring) is a group of Rotarians who work with students at Woodrow Wilson High School starting in their sophomore year.
As they have done for over 30 years, the Richardson East Rotary Club of Texas, through their annual scholarship application process, once again responded to the needs of the local community’s graduating high school seniors.

The McKinney Rotary Club participated at the BATTLE OF THE BADGES between Law Enforcement and the Fire Fighters sponsored by CARTER BLOOD BANK. They donated 28 units.
One of the innovations this past year was the Flag Summit held to discuss best practices of clubs who utilize this fundraiser. Sharing this information proved to be economical. Recently, the Rowlett Rotary Club needed to purchase some additional flags.
