DG Beverly Grogan's March Message
It’s Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Month in our Rotary Calendar! In 5810 , we are celebrating in a big way; the global grant for our Navaho Water Project in which we are a partner with District in California just got approved. Many thanks to our chairs, Glen and Michelle Thornton of Plano West for coordinating this exciting Project. 
International Conference News
We are still making plans for enjoying the Hawaiian Islands this June , when 25,000+ Rotarians invade the islands to celebrate our year! March 31 is the deadline for pre-registration discount! We have many going already committed to going... come join the fun!

Mesquite Rotary Donates to Mesquite ISD Education Foundation
Mesquite Rotary Club president John Taylor presented a $7,500 donation check to the Mesquite ISD Education Foundation at their meeting on January 28th. Foundation executive director Randy Lewallyn accepted the check.

Joint Blood Drive
The Plano Sunrise Rotary Club and N. Texas Pioneers Rotary Club, for their joint Blood Drive, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, Catholic Church. Through the efforts of the Parishioners, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, the Carter BloodCare, teams and Rotarians,this Blood drive secured 67, good units of blood, which has the effect to possibly save up to 201, lives.
Service Above Self Teacher Awards
The Rotary Club of Dallas is working very hard to recognize outstanding teachers in the Dallas Independent School District.  If you know any really special teachers, please have them consider submitting an application for our awards program. 
Rotary Youth Exchange Needs Your Support!

Fun, Fellowship, and Field Trips
With the festivities of the holidays completed for another year and Spring not yet in evidence, the Fellowship Committee, under the leadership of John Brown and VP Happy Franklin, have made some great plans.
Get Involved With the RYLA Selection Process Now Underway
RYLA student scholarship selections are now underway across the district. Your club is looking for the right recipient(s)— high school juniors with leadership potential who can expand their leadership in a growth-oriented, fun, high energy week at camp.
Frisco's 1st Responders "Service Above Self" Award 
Each quarter, the Rotary Club of Frisco alternates awarding a deserving member of the Frisco Fire Department and Frisco Police Department. 
White Rock Rotary Monthly Cleanup
A crew from White Rock Rotary braved chilly temps to do their monthly trash pick up at White Rock Lake. It was sorely needed after recent rains. Coffee and doughnuts definitely contributed to our energy levels!
11th Annual Safer Dallas Awards
Rotary Club of Dallas held it’s 11th Annual Safer Dallas Awards on Wednesday, February 26th  at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital.  The program recognizes a Dallas Police Officer for Distinguished Service. 
McKinney Donates to Wildlife Sanctuary
Sharon Scott, Community Service Chair, delivered a check and the donated items to the Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary, our January Charity of the Month. 
Annual Scouting For Food Drive
Once again Rotarians have an opportunity to participate in the annual Scouting For Food Drive conducted by the Circle Ten Scouts across North Texas.
