WOW - we've completed one month of our year already! As of this writing, I have completed 8 club visits and had such a great time! There is NO place like Rotary! I've met with your boards and discussed ideas for growing membership, sent you information or contacts that you needed, and just listened to all of the GREAT things you are doing in your community. You all are pretty amazing!

Thanks to these PeopleOfAction from the Grand Prairie Metro Rotary Club that came out on a Saturday for its most recent Adopt-a-Street project. More than 20 bags of trash (and one bumper!) were taken off a roadway in Grand Prairie.

Frisco ISD Backpack Bash July 22nd - July 23rd - Rotary Club of Frisco participated in filling backpacks up with school supplies for the upcoming school year.
At our Friday meeting, the Preston Trail Rotary Club proudly presented backpacks to Celina ISD Superintendent and fellow Rotarian, Dr. Tom Maglisceau, to help ensure local students start the school year prepared and confident.
North Texas Pioneers Club is proud to say their members helped with another blood drive at Saint Elizabeth Church in Plano. There were 68 units of blood collected which will help save up to 204 lives. The club is always proud of their members who take a small amount of time to give blood and and help with the blood drives. There is always a great demand for blood!
This was the twenty-second Fourth of July Parade put on by the Rotary Club of Park Cites – it just seems to get better every year. Thousands of people lined the streets to enjoy the Parade and continued the day at the Festival in the Park. There were patriotic speeches, family friendly fun and lots of activities for the kids.
Kids Who Rock is a summer camp in the Rowlett/Garland area. Kids who have an interest in music learn every different instrument, in teams by age group write their own songs, write their own music, and then perform a showcase for families and visitors.
After a busy week of service, several dedicated members of the Preston Trail Rotary Club rolled up their sleeves once again, this time to help beautify our city. As part of our commitment to community stewardship, the club has officially adopted a street in Celina.
The Rotary Club of McKinney rang in the new Rotary year with more than just gavel-passing and goalsetting—this time, they kicked things off with dance moves and disco lights. At the Friday, July 11th meeting, just after the induction of McKinney Rotary board members by District Governor Mary Bedosky, the unexpected happened.

Darby Nielsen concluded her year as Rockwall Rotary president expressing her appreciation to the board and club membership for an outstanding year - including their successful fundraising clay shoot. This year's event being their most successful ever allowing them to award substantial scholarships to Rockwall ISD students.
