I am so happy to report that our 24-25 year continues to reach new heights. Membership across the District is +60 as of 10/10/24 which puts us 6th out of 23 Districts in our Region which is great. The big Membership Drive winner for September was the Rotary Club of Greenville which grew from 60 to 80 (33.33% increase) in one month plus they are up 43% total since July 1st!!!
World Polio Day is a time for Rotary members, public health advocates, and all who want a world free from polio to come together, recognize our progress in the fight to end polio, and talk about the actions we need to take in order to end polio for good. When the call went out for plastic grocery bags, Coppell members not only cleaned out their own pantries, but they also teamed up with neighboring grocery stores for donations and even purchased boxes of bags at Sam's .
The Prestonwood Rotary Club convened at the Pioneer Technology and Arts Academy cafeteria alongside the PTAA Interact Club to assemble Bye Bye Bags for Vogel Alcove. The Interact Club opened the event with the Ringing of the Bell, invocation, and pledges. Various tables were set up with supplies to build the Bye Bye Bags and both Interact Club members and PRC members shared tables and began putting the bags together.

Monday, August 26 was National Toilet Paper Day and to celebrate that the Rotary Club of CarrolltonFarmers Branch held its 4th Annual toilet paper drive. Toilet paper is the single most expensive item to keep in a food pantry and our club drive assisted Metrocrest Services, a local non-profit organization, to keep toilet paper stocked for 6 months.
The Plano Flags of Honor event is just around the corner, and we invite you to be part of this incredible week-long tribute to our nation's soldiers and first responders. From November 9-16 at the Red Tail Pavilion formerly Oak Point Park, over 1,000 American flags will be on display, each representing the bravery, sacrifice, and service of our community's heroes.
Members of the Grand Prairie Metro Rotary Club hit the streets in support of the City's Fall Sweep. The Club was able to remove 35 bags of trash (and other large items) off the roadways in Grand Prairie.

The Rotary Club of Addison conducted the annual “Addison Rotary Open” benefiting the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas on September 9, 2024. This was the 34th anniversary of this event which comprises a golf tournament held at the Glen Eagles Country Club in Plano, Texas, an online auction, sponsorships, and a raffle.
Waxahachie Rotary Club, on 9/21 with the help of Interact students and the Friends of Rotary volunteers, donated a new basketball backboard, painted and rain sealed the playground at the Patrick Street Housing Authority
The Carrollton Farmers Branch Rotary Club was honored to be invited to the Metrocrest Services Community picnic where they grilled and served 1,400 hot dogs and shared books for all of the children to take home. Special thanks to all who volunteered to make this event such a success.
Rotary is committing US$500,000 to bolster the initiative, channeling these funds through a dedicated Polio Outbreak Response Fund. This contribution represents Rotary's sustained support to the World Health Organization in combating polio globally.
