In August, the Rotary Club of Duncanville hosted their first Tri-City Networking Happy Hour at Day Drink Bar. Duncanville Rotarians mingled with Rotarians from the Cedar Hill and DeSoto Clubs, and it was a great success!
This week, the Rotary Club of Carrollton-Farmers Branch celebrated another milestone at Gussie Field Waterworth Park—better known as Farmers Branch Rotary Playground. Eight years ago, the club partnered with the City of Farmers Branch to raise more than $175,000 to build this all-accessible playground, ensuring children of all abilities could enjoy a safe and inclusive place to play.
Three years ago, the McKinney Rotary Club pledged a $100,000 matching grant to Direction 61:3 to build a home for young adults aging out of foster care. Last week, we broke ground on the first home.
Daybreak Greenville helped the Hunt County Shared Ministries in produce distribution day. Almost every Thursday the food Bank receives a truck load of produce that then needs to be sorted into smaller portions for distribution.
This August, Richardson East is working with Laura Small (Manager, Behavioral Health & Addiction Recovery, Methodist Richardson Medical Center Campus for Continuing Care) to revitalize their dated courtyard, a project made possible by a District 5810 Rotary grant. This space is a crucial oasis for patients.
Melissa Road The Rotary Club of Melissa worked with the City of Mellisa to host the Melissa Road Fest. The Melissa Road Fest is an annual event which brings the community together to celebrate Melissa.
This past Saturday morning about 40 people turned out for our very uplifting and successful Peace Pole Dedication Ceremony including about 20 members from our Club, 1 past District Governor (John Curtis), and 3 Frisco City Council Members (Angelia Pelham, Laura Rummel, and Burt Thakur)!

The Plano Rotary Club proudly took part in this year’s Plano Balloon Festival—Texas’ premier and largest hot air balloon celebration. Club volunteers dedicated an impressive 151 hours staffing the festival’s Information Booth, ensuring visitors had a welcoming and informative experience.
North Texas Pioneers Rotary Club is committed to a monthly service project. Each month 10 to 12 members take a couple hours of their time to go to Lovepacs, an organization which provides boxes of donated food for underprivileged children to have at home when they are not in school.

The Association for Donkey and Equine Haven, USA (the “Haven”) in Celina, Texas, founded in 2009, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming abused, neglected, and abandoned equine animals. Completely volunteer-operated, the Haven provides a safe haven for donkeys, mules, and other equines in need.

At a recent meeting, Preston Trail Rotary had the privilege of honoring one of its most cherished members, Ralph O’Dell. In partnership with Celina ISD, the club presented Superintendent Dr. Tom with a $5,000 check to establish the Ralph O’Dell Scholarship.
