The Suicide Prevention and Brain Health (SPBH) Rotary eClub (spbhrotary.org) in conjunction with SPBH members from the Steven A Cohen Military Family Clinic at Metrocare, Military Veteran Peer Network (MVPN) and StopOne have announced 2024 dates for ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) in Addison, Texas at no cost to attendees.
The 2024 dates are:
• February 12-13
• March 27-28
• May 13-14
• September 9-10
• December 2-3
Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is a two-day interactive workshop in suicide first aid. ASIST teaches participants to recognize when someone may have thoughts of suicide and work with them to create a plan that will support their immediate safety. Participants do not need any other prior training to attend the workshop. Attendance on both days is required.
