Past District Governor Bill Slicker often reminded us that “This is a great day to be a Rotarian”. How true. Today is not only a great day to be a Rotarian but the start of a great time this Spring to come together as Rotarians to share our works and learn about all things Rotary as well as have some fun while we take on these many activities.
Let’s begin with PETS. Ten Texas Districts will come together to facilitate an educational process for the incoming PEs and PNs so they can be the best at leading their clubs in 2024-25. Many of us are called to facilitate this training. We do so gladly. Continuing the roles in Rotary leadership is vitally important to our livelihood. This is what will enable Rotary to continue to do the good work that has become a part of our brand: support for our schools and children, assistance for veterans and our senior population and outreach to the needy in our communities. This is what we do and enabling the clubs in our District to be strong and growing helps this happen.

It begins this spring with Lone Star PETS, and continues with the Club Training Assembly, for Club leaders and Assistant Governors. It is an exciting time for all of us as we review what we have done and consider how we might do even more next year.
