Melissa Rotary Club and Melissa High School Interact Club have joined forces to serve the community, including Melissa's Fall Fest, Flag installations, and the Veterans' Day Ceremony. These service projects include helping with parking and booth set-up at the local Fall Fest sponsored by Krogers and supported by the local Chamber of Commerce, and Interact is sponsoring the Fall 2023 Food Drive benefitting the First Melissa Christmas Angel Program and the Melissa Community Outreach Food Pantry, which the Melissa Rotary Club also supports.
The Interact Club also is a contractor for the Melissa Rotary Club Flag Lease Program. These high school students install and collect U.S. flags in some of the Melissa neighborhoods six times each year, most recently for Veterans Day. Students from the Melissa High School Interact Club supported this year's annual Melissa Rotary sponsored Veteran's Day ceremony, which was followed by the dedication of the new Rotary Park.
