Prestonwood Rotary Club welcomed members of DPD to the Prestonwood Country Club with a buffet lunch and a celebration of their annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Day on Wednesday, October 25, 2023.
Although only recently, Congress has recognized a First Responder Day (October 28th), Prestonwood Rotary has honored the Police and Fire-Rescue for over 40 years.
This year, three outstanding detectives were honored and chosen by the departments/units chief. Each officer received a special introduction by a PRC member with a multitude of accolades written by their recommending officers. Prestonwood recognized them with a plaque commemorating their “Service Above Self”, a check, gift certificates for dining, and a carryall thermos to keep them alert and moving.
