Ronald McDonald House has been open to volunteers for a couple of years now following COVID. In 2024 they have changed their staff to include a chef to prepare the meals.
They needed contributions to buy the groceries that will make up the meals as well as volunteers. RCPC members have volunteered once a month at Ronald McDonald House for over thirty years, so they readily adapted to this change. Team Leader Kathleen Klaviter facilitated grant applications to the RCPC Foundation to pay for the ingredients for the dinners, which were quickly approved.

Volunteers from RCPC continue to assist in preparing and serving the food as they have done for so many years. Both the experienced and more recent volunteers comment on how rewarding it is to serve a tasty and nourishing dinner to the families who are in Dallas so their seriously ill children can receive treatment. It improves the day of the volunteers and families alike.
