We are very proud and pleased to announce that our District 5810 committee on nominations met on Sunday December 3, and unanimously recommended that Mike Callahan be our District Governor Nominee Designate. Mike is a member of the Prestonwood Rotary Club and Past President of the Dallas East Rotary Club. He currently serves as an Assistant Governor. He previously held many positions of responsibility at his club, in the district and at RYLA. If confirmed by RI, he will follow Mary Bedosky as DG for Rotary year 2026-2027. Notice required by our Manual of Procedures: The District 5810 Manual of Procedures, MOP, in section 3.4 provides that the nominating committee notify the current District Governor of its recommendation, which has been done. The District Governor must then notify all District 5810 Clubs on a timely basis, which is the notice you are now receiving. Any club in the District may challenge the recommendation of the nominating committee in certain limited circumstances. Please refer to District 5810 MOP 3.4.2 for the procedures for such a challenge. Any challenge must be made in writing and submitted to our current District Governor within 14 calendar days after the date of this publication of the nominating committee’s recommendation. If no challenge is timely received, the recommendation of the committee will be declared the Governor Nominee Designate.
