Plano Metro Rotary members went to Panama to purchase equipment for the Digital Interactive Classrooms project. District 5810 provided a matching grant that will contribute to 20 fixed and 10 mobile classrooms including digital white boards, laptops, learning furniture, software, reliable connectivity and teacher learning to support education for future productive jobs.
We visited schools where we saw the project installed. Each school project is overseen by a local Rotary team monitoring, adjusting and fixing where necessary, equipment and infrastructure. The local Rotarians would discuss curriculum with the teachers and we met with the curriculum developers.
