The Rotary Club of Addison conducted the annual “Addison Rotary Open” benefiting the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas on September 9, 2024. This was the 34th anniversary of this event which comprises a golf tournament held at the Glen Eagles Country Club in Plano, Texas, an online auction, sponsorships, and a raffle.
After expenses, the Rotary Club of Addison will donate more $216,000 to the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas. Since the inception of the Addison Rotary Open in 1990 the Rotary Club of Addison has donated more than $4 million from this event.

“We’re delighted with the results of the golf tournament and associated fundraiser,” said Cathy Zelzer, Addison Rotary Open Chair. “We exceeded our targets and last year’s results in every category.”

“We’re a relatively small club with only 33 members,” said David Heimer, President of the Rotary Club of Addison. “For a small club to raise this much every year is a testament to the hard-working members of our club. But of course, we couldn’t do it without our amazing supporters, the golfers, and the generous sponsors and donors who give selflessly to help families and children every year. It requires a lot of work from everyone in the club, but we manage to have fun while doing it, and the results are astounding.”
