Rotary Clubs of Rockwall Breakfast and Wylie East Fork serves beyond our city limit. Sachse, Texas tucks right in with our service area with many of our members residents so we feel it’s a natural and companionable fit.
In a time where large gatherings are discouraged, Sachse Chamber of Commerce turned their well-attended annual Sachse Fallfest into a month-long series of engaging activities. Our members stepped up and recruited folks from our clubs and the community-at-large to join in the fitness fun. Each club made a donation to the benefiting Alzheimer’s Foundation and made every step count with a combined 579,0538 steps. Steps were only tracked on Wednesdays for October so when one was too cold for comfort, a favorite Rotarian affected by Alzheimer’s was so determined he headed to Dallas for a stroll in North Park Mall. These committed steppers joined in cooperation to make a difference in Alzheimer’s research and in support of one another.
