Reforesting our neighborhoods bring an aesthetic and peaceful environment that also provides natural elements and wildlife habitat into urban settings. The canopy of trees planted will help provide a greener and cleaner environment in Dallas and help mitigate urban heat. The Rotary Club of Dallas had 22 members out at the event held on Saturday, October 23rd planting trees. President Cyndi Janssen shared that, "There is no doubt that engaging in tree planting activities strengthens our communities and gets us out together as Rotarians doing what we do best, serving. Today we planted not only trees, but that Rotary is a powerful organization that can step in where the community needs assistance. We appreciated the call for volunteers and the opportunity to serve."
