Our first meeting of the 2026-27 fiscal year members cheered on five students from Lake Highlands High School who received scholarships and one who attended RYLA camp this year from White Rock Rotary. Selecting these students who got scholarships proved to be challenging as all applicants had excellent academic records.
Their commitment to community service was very evident in the activities which they undertook during their high school years. Our only regret is that we cannot provide more funds for a greater number of students. Our RYLA student expressed real appreciation of the opportunity. It was life altering.
