Chili Day started in 1981 as a way to raise money for The Salvation Army. This past Chili Day, $4,370.00 was donated to help support their Adult Rehabilitation Center.

Members are encouraged to donate the amount that they usually pay for lunch, although larger donations are encouraged. Chili Cook Extraordinaire, Bob Grossman, has been in charge of making the chili since 1981, sometimes staying up all night to complete enough to feed everyone. The chili is made with donated venison, as well as 70 lbs. of beef, 50 lbs. of onions and 6-8 lbs. of garlic. Recently, Chef Bob has enlisted his grandson to help. RCPC members look forward to Chili Day every December, and the chili and program are enjoyed by all!
