Delivering Christmas presents to refugee families through the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Lake Highlands. Members of White Rock Rotary work consistently with this church in different areas of volunteerism to serve the community. Christmas presents wrapping and delivery is constant for us. This service gives as much joy to us as it does to the families receiving the gifts.
The happiness and sense of wonder on the faces of the children when they open the door and realize what is being delivered is priceless. The camaraderie with community members serving a common purpose is invaluable.
Hellen Stettler, Enid Jones, Roger Pryor, Walt McCool, and Tom Stutz were part of our team working on December 22. Earlier in that week Enid Jones joined the members of the Church congregation to wrap and organize the presents.
