The first week of August, the Rotary Club of Dallas completed our first service project for the new club year – Cookies for (Dallas) Cops with 30 members participating. Home baked and donated cookies were collected and then repackaged, following all COVID safety protocols, into bags of three. Each bag was sealed and labeled.
Various club members hand delivered 370 packages to two substations, over 13 different shifts beginning at 11 pm Aug. 3 and ending at 9 pm on August. 4. At each shift change, members were allowed to personally thank the officers as the cookies were distributed. The club plans to continue this project to cover the remaining substations and the dispatch operations.
