I hope you are enjoying the Spring weather we are finally having. The top is down on my Mustang and I can hear the Beach Boys as I motor along.
And what better place to motor to than Rockwall, site of this year’s District Conference and golf outing. The golf is at Buffalo Creek, considered among the very best public courses around. There is still time to register online. Bring three of your best friends. It’s going to be a fun day.
Saturday. April 13, is the Conference. We begin by collecting clothing and household items to send to the Panhandle. Truck and trailer are arranged, drivers are needed. Bur first bring your ‘stuff’ to the Rockwall Rotary Hall on Saturday, 11 to 2. Register for the Conference for only $90 and enjoy the youth programs, cocktail party, dinner and dancing and more. Past RI President John Germ and his wife Judith will be with us and we will have the opportunity to chat with them. It will be another fun day!
Naturally, if you do not have a Mustang convertible to tool around the District in you can book a room at the Springhill Suites Friday and/or Saturday. That is where many Rotarians will be staying during the Conference.
A final note: the District Business meeting, often held during the Conference, will be held June 8 during the scheduled roundtable. This allows for any club that proposes a Resolution to amend the Manual of Procedure to submit within 30 days of the meeting.
I am looking forward to seeing you out on the course at Buffalo Creek on the 12th and at our Conference on the 13th!
