DG Mary Bedosky's January Message

Hi all - Happy New Year!  I hope that you enjoyed a wonderful holiday season with friends and family!  I took Christmas dinner over to my mom's apartment and we had a great meal!   I attended over a dozen Holiday Parties in addition to the great District "Jingle & Mingle" we had on December 12.  The picture attached is of the 50 toys we donated to Network of Community Ministries in Richardson.  Thanks to your generosity, we also donated a scooter and a bicycle!  

We gave midyear club performance awards at the party for July - November numbers in addition to table decorating awards!  Here are the winners:

Congrats to all!  Some clubs have really started the year strong and we have some very talented artists in our district!  It is amazing how a plain table can be transformed in just 10 minutes!  

 

Club Leadership Exchange continues in 2026.  On January 10, you asked for and we will focus on ideas for Club Service Projects as well as Fundraising Events.  On February 14, our program will be all about International Service.  Please get the word out and send club members to these informative, FREE events.  

 

Save the date for the District 5810 Foundation Gala on February 12 at the Clubs of Prestonwood .  Our guest speaker is Greg Podd, Vice Chair of The Rotary Foundation Board of Trustees.  Join us as THE TIME IS NOW to raise more money for TRF.  This is a Gala you will not want to miss!  Registration will start shortly.  

 

Well, you have all helped to make the first half of this year very impactful and meaningful.  As we start the second half of our Rotary year, please review your club goals and reset the pace NOW to meet them!  Have a laser focus on membership growth and donations to TRF!
