Hi all - we are getting into Pumpkin Spice Latte season! Have you had one yet? I have included two pictures of the yellow bricks that club presidents are displaying at each meeting. On my club visits, I explain that our district theme this year is "There's No Place Like Rotary". Each club is a yellow brick on the "yellow brick road' leading to the Emerald City - our success!
! At PETS last spring, I asked each club president to write a goal for the year on their brick. Midlothian and Plano West clubs had a humorous spin on the goal idea!
As of this writing, I have visited 40 clubs. I am really impressed with all of the wonderful ways you are giving back to your communities: parades, Veterans Memorials, Peace Poles, Lovepacs, shoes, community grants, book giveaways, hygiene kits, and so many other great projects. No matter the size of your club, you truly are making a difference every day.
This month, we celebrate World Polio Day on October 24. I will attend some of your events that week and help support this great cause. We really need to focus on donations to Polio Plus and reach our 2025-26 goal of $200,000!
We have had some great monthly FREE events - Club Leadership Exchanges - you really need to attend! The next one is on October 18 and features the basics of putting together an Action Plan for your club (that's another name for Strategic Plan) You each get the notices - hope to see you at the next one. YES - they are offered on Zoom. In fact, we have posted the recordings of the last three on rotary5810.org under the Clubs tab. We have already covered Membership, Club Resources and Polio. And - the November 8 event will feature Foundation. EVERY CLUB MEMBER IS INVITED.
See you at the next CLE. Have an excellent month as we all Unite For Good. THANK YOU ALL FOR WHAT YOU DO.
YIR,
Mary
