I cannot believe the holidays are already here.  I have greatly enjoyed our ½ year together with so many impactful service projects and club visits. As I travel, I am constantly amazed by our 60+ clubs’ contributions to communities in North Texas.  Our monthly Roundtables also produce great results.
For example, in December, in record time we packed 401 pounds of candy into hundreds of goody bags that were then distributed by Rotarians throughout the District just in time to accompany Christmas gifts from service organizations and holiday meals from our local food pantries. We brought a delightful smile and chocolate smudged lips to hundreds of children.

Thank you so very much to all the clubs who contributed to our 6 pallets/6,363 pounds/287 boxes of donations, which are now going to Roatan, Honduras after a shift in the ship’s schedule during our upcoming Annual District 5810 Conference Service cruise. We still have space if you can join us January 12-19th on the Regal Princess out of Galveston with stops in Roatan, Honduras and Cozumel, Mexico https://rotary5810.org/sitepage/district-conference  I can’t wait to share in person International Service with you.

Membership UPDATE!! The District is at +72 for the year with 2,477 members. The big Membership Drive winner for November was the Coppell Rotary Club with +7 (which won both % and #) with Hurricane Creek and Midlothian at +3 each! Those are fantastic numbers. We are so close to 2,500+. Let’s hit that milestone in January. Keep inviting…. Club presidents and membership chairs don’t forget to turn in your visitor and new member excel form each month to Reyna Castillo by the 7th for your raffle tickets for our Membership Drive and Raffle.   https://rotary5810.org/sitepage/membership-drive   If you miss a month, you can still catch up.  We are gathering prizes besides the Alaskan cruise on Princess for 2 oceanview in Summer, 2026. Please let me know if you can donate a prize.  We would love to highlight your business on our social media.

Exciting Events coming up: There will be no January Roundtable since the cruise is that week. Do plan to attend on Feb. 8th. We have a very special speaker: Rotary Peace Fellow Kirk Driver, who is a 31-year veteran of the Fort Worth Police Department. He is fabulous. You don’t want to miss it.
December is Disease Prevention and Treatment Month; did your club have a special project or program to highlight this topic?

If you are a Club President-Elect or a President-Nominee please register as soon as possible at https://lonestarpets.org/events/lone-star-pets2025/  and register at https://www.hyatt.com/en-US/group-booking/DFWAP/G-LS25 for your special nightly hotel rate of $121 at the DFW Hyatt for Feb 27-March 2. DGE Mary Bedosky and her team have so many wonderful surprises in store for you at PETS this year.  (Note there are no classes on Sunday this year.)

Please contact me if your club would like to sponsor a service project during a Roundtable in the upcoming months. We can provide the labor if you bring the items.
Thanks for all you do to make an impact in the world. I appreciate you so much.

May your upcoming holidays be magical.

Yours in service,
DG Regina
