Established in 1996, the Greenville Texas Cotton Patch Challenge is ready to roll out for 2020. Coming on 9/19/2020 you can look forward to great biking and lots of family friendly events while you ride.
2020 brings the "all new" CPC. All new is more than just words, there are changes that we think you will like. The Cotton Patch Challenge executive committee met Wednesday July 8, 2020 and firmly decided to proceed with the ride on September 19th. Many charities in Greenville are hurting badly from canceling their fundraising campaigns and this ride can go a long way to helping them out in a time of extremity. Rotary funds will be going from this event to them.

This ride is more than an ‘event’. CASA, Women in Need, FISH, Community Seeds, Senior Services and so many more would be greatly deprived by canceling.

Our sponsors are stepping up. Those concerned about their health we hope will join us next year while those busting to get out can enjoy something outdoors with little chance of illness.

We will be taking measures to limit unnecessary exposure. Our staging area will be well spaced for start times, dividing riders into mileage blocks that will allow for comfortable distancing. In addition, our rest stops will be stocking with sanitizers and we’ll put in measures to help reduce any person to person contamination in handing out refreshments and drinks. We are also eliminating the options for dinner on Friday and Saturday breakfast.

Our check in process will also be much easier this year. You will simply need to show your QR code in the receipt email. You will receive your bib number and any clothing purchases will be written on the back so that you can pick them up at the end of the ride (or immediately). No goodie bags this year to mess with. Just check in, bib up and go.

NOTE: The Gravel G3 ride is cancelled for this year.
So, time to stop wondering and time to begin planning for again enjoying the great outdoors and doing what we love doing, riding.
