Last weekend, the McKinney Rotary Club and the McKinney Sunrise Rotary Club concluded their meaningful joint project honoring local veterans. Together, the clubs proudly displayed 100 American flags, each representing a veteran, along a striking Banner of Honor near Veterans Memorial Park in McKinney.
Community members sponsored the flags in tribute to the service and sacrifice of these heroes, helping raise $5,050 in proceeds. The two clubs presented the funds to Smiles Charity, an organization dedicated to providing mortgage-free homes for veterans and their families.
This collaborative effort not only united Rotarians in service but also strengthened the community’s connection to its veterans—demonstrating once again how Rotary creates lasting impact through partnership and purpose.
