Preston Hollow Rotary Club joined with two other District 5810 clubs, White Rock and Melissa, and with the Autism Treatment Center in Dallas, to produce and distribute an award-winning short film, “Hide Your Love Away.”
When a bullied, abandoned, autistic teen threatens suicide, his group home guardian, an autism dad, must throw him a lifeline or sink in the storm.

The purpose of the film, released during April, Autism Awareness, Month, is to increase autism awareness for teens and young adults and bring additional supports to the growing number of individuals with autism in situations similar to the characters depicted in the film.

“Hide Your Love Away” has been nominated for Best Original Screenplay at the IndieX Film Fest in Los Angeles, and has been awarded Honorable Mention for Best Narrative Short at the Cannes World Film Festival.

The 14-minute film is streaming on Vimeo, https://vimeo.com/497137370, and is available for presentation throughout District 5810.  To schedule a presentation, contact Dan Burns, immediate Past President of Preston Hollow Rotary, by email:  daneburns45@gmail.com.
