22 Rotarians and non-Rotarians from across the country partnered with Rotarians in Chihuahua, Mexico (District 4110) at the Guerrero Clinic during the week of March 16th to help 800 Indigent Mexicans, Mennonites, and Tarahumara Indians regain or improve sight through cataract surgery or prescription glasses. Dentists were also there to provide care.
The Rotary Club of Preston Hollow sponsored an optician on the trip while the Addison Rotary Club purchased a keratometer that was used for the first time at this clinic. Restoring sight returns dignity to patients as they can become productive members of society again and not a burden to their families and communities. The Guerrero Rotary Clinic: Restoring sight for over 40 years. Contact Robert Yudkin at 214-213-6808 or at Robert@GuerreroClinic.org if you are interested in volunteering (1 week clinics), sponsoring a volunteer, or making a donation.
