This spot is special because it’s designed for children of all abilities to actually get in there and interact with nature—they’re even encouraged to touch the "Lamb’s Ear" plants and pick the flowers. We’ve focused on hardy, drought-tolerant plants that can handle the Texas heat, and it was great to see some local ducks already making nests in the ornamental grasses.
Extra applause to Ron and Karen Wilson for taking the lead and making sure everything was perfectly coordinated, and thanks to Martin Ortega and the Richardson Parks Department crew for their constant support.
