The Rockwall Rotary Club joined more than 20 local nonprofit organizations at the Fall Community Service Fair on Saturday, September 26, at San Jacinto Plaza in downtown Rockwall. Hosted by JustServe, a nonprofit that connects volunteers with local service opportunities, the free community event brought together organizations and residents eager to make a difference. With the Rockwall Farmers Market taking place nearby, the fair enjoyed plenty of foot traffic and offered attendees dozens of ways to get involved in their community.
Representing Rockwall Rotary were Beth Johnson, Noel Williams, and Shari Williams, who shared information about the club, its service opportunities, and its upcoming event, Rockwall Talent Live. The team also distributed two membership applications to prospective Rotarians.
The club was joined by three students from the Rockwall High School Interact Club: Tacoya Rawlins, David Ajayi, and Rylee Watkins. Tacoya and David serve as Interact Club officers this year. In addition to learning more about Rotary, the students explored other organizations represented at the fair and gathered information about potential service projects for their own club.
The event provided a wonderful opportunity to build community connections, introduce more people to Rotary, and inspire the next generation of volunteers and service leaders.
With enthusiastic representatives, prospective members, and new ideas for future service projects, it was a beautiful and productive morning for Rockwall Rotary!
