The Plano Holiday Parade returns to Downtown Plano Saturday, Dec. 13 with a Yee Haw Holiday! Think cowboy hats trimmed in tinsel, boots full of candy canes and cacti strung with twinkle lights – culminating, of course, with a float carrying jolly ol’ Saint Nick.
Rotarians from all local clubs are invited to volunteer to help us make this the best parade yet! Sign up at rotaryparadesofplano.com.
Local businesses, schools, nonprofits and clubs are invited to register to participate through Nov. 22 at rotaryparadesofplano.com. Registration is free for schools, veterans and first responder groups.
JCPenney is giving away a $500 shopping spree that will be randomly distributed to one lucky guest during the parade. Check the Rotary Parades of Plano Facebook page the week of the parade for details on how to win.
Leading the parade as this year’s Guest of Honor is Tejasvi Manoj, a Plano-based high school student and the TIME Magazine Kid of the Year 2025. An Eagle Scout from Troop 261 in Plano, she founded Shield Seniors, a cybersecurity platform that helps older adults recognize and avoid online scams. Deeply connected to North Texas, Tejasvi serves on the North Texas Food Bank Young Advocates Council, tutors Bhutanese refugee students and leads digital safety workshops for seniors. She also delivered a TEDxPlano talk, sharing her journey of empowering seniors through technology and promoting digital safety for all generations. Her work blends technology, community service and compassion.
The holiday parade begins at 2 p.m. at 19th Street and M Avenue in Plano. It will head west on 19th Street, turn south on K Avenue, east on 15th Street, north on M Avenue and end at 18th Street.
The event is funded in part by the City of Plano, and is organized by members of the Rotary Clubs of Plano. In the event that the parade is canceled due to inclement weather, that information will be posted on the morning of Dec. 13 on the parade’s Facebook and Instagram accounts.
