The Coppell Rotary Club partnered with the Msasa Rotary Club of Zimbabwe to provide a solar electric panel and pump to a well to supply water for the Mutoko Green Project.
This project creates an irrigated field for growing of food crops for the widowed and orphaned in the Mutoko region of Zimbabwe where drought has devastated the area for many years. The scalable project is a model for other communities in the area to prevent famine and migration to city slums as the only means of survival. This water not only provides irrigation for crops , but sustains fish ponds and aquaculture where low cost sustainable protein is harvested.

Through Rotary International's commitment to service both in the community and internationally, we were able to provide a sustainable solution to a life changing event .
