
Rotary Club of Dallas proudly hosted the 17th annual Safer Dallas Better Dallas Public Safety Awards luncheon, honoring a dedicated public safety leader and the brave men and women of Dallas Police Department (DPD) and Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR).

The program opened with an invocation by Adam McGough, followed by a moving performance of “America the Beautiful” by Honorable Raquel Jones. Our keynote speaker, DPD Chief Daniel Comeaux, shared a few words on the strides the department is making to keep Dallas safer. Congratulations to our 2025 award recipients:
Reena Morris — Public Safety Leader Award, presented by Safer Dallas Trustee Preston Bates FRO Isaac Rodriguez — DF-R Distinguished Service Award, presented by Fire Chief Justin Ball Detective Christy Chamberlain — DPD Distinguished Service Award, presented by DPD Chief Daniel Comeaux
Sgt. Tawanna Manuel — DPD Hero Award, presented by Safer Dallas Chairwoman Courtney Underwood We closed the luncheon with the presentation of the 2025 Back the Blue Tournament proceeds to Safer Dallas and a few words from Safer Dallas Better Dallas President, John Forest reinforcing our shared commitment to a safer city.
