What would be the Fourth of July without a parade!  For the seventeenth year the Rotary Club of Park Cities’ Fourth of July Parade brings the community together – and out on the street – to celebrate Independence Day.  Approximately 10,000 residents and guests lined the streets to watch the over 300 entries this year, ranging from the children’s bicycle parade, to city, county and state dignitaries, to antique vehicles, riders on horses, and floats.

Thanks go to our title sponsor Pendery's Spices and other sponsors Frost Bank and Bank of America, for helping us support the North Texas Food Bank!  Overall, the Parade raised $35,400, which was matched, making a total of $93,000 for the Food Bank.  The Parade route stretches from the Highland Park Town Hall to the University Park City Hall, and ends with speeches, vendors and activities for the kids in Goar Park.  The day of the Parade sixty-two club members contributed 268 service hours, and thrty-seven volunteers from Bank of America contributed another 111 hours. Planning starts in January, and hundreds of additional volunteer hours go into working out all of the details for the parade itself and for the activites in Goar Park.

The Fourth of July Parade always takes place on the fourth, unless the fourth is on a Sunday. Join us in 2020 for a morning of fun and patriotism for the whole family.
