May is not just another month on the calendar. It’s a month of significance, a time when the world comes together to raise awareness about an issue that often remains shrouded in silence: mental health. As we embark on Mental Health Awareness Month, it's crucial to acknowledge the significance of dismantling the stigma surrounding mental health and cultivating a culture steeped in understanding, empathy, and support.
Here are three things that you can do to support Rotary's Mental Health Initiative during May, Mental Health Awareness Month:

  1. Spread the word: Use the Mental Health Initiative Graphics to share on social media to raise awareness and break the stigma and use the hashtags #RotaryStands4MentalHealth #MentalHealthMatters

  2. Host an Event: Host physical activity events such as walks, runs, or yoga sessions to promote the connection between physical activity and mental well-being. Take a picture and post it to your club's social media page with the hash tags #RotaryStands4MentalHealth

  3. Collaborate with Mental Health Organizations: Partner with local mental health organizations to host joint events, fundraisers, or awareness campaigns.
