At the September18 District Governor visit, the Melissa club assembled 100 veteran care bags with hygiene items such as shampoo, body wash, razors, and shaving cream in addition to snacks of fruit cups and granola bars. All items were donated by the Melissa HEB store.
Members delivered the bags to the Clyde W. Cosper Texas State Veterans Home in Bonham. Last week, a Melissa club member visited the Bonham Veteran's clinic and received praise for the club's consistent support of veterans from the staff when they learned he was a Melissa Rotary member.
