Life is a little different for us now. You will not see many fun photos of Rotarians at work in person at the moment.. However you can find a plethora of evidence of Rotary at work! This somewhat 'boring' photo show fruits and vegetables growing in the Sisters' Garden, an enclosed garden run by nuns (Mother Theresa's order) as part of a convent in South Dallas.
This area is in the middle of a food desert in the heart of a highly impoverished area. Normally, volunteers from White Rock Rotary purchase, deliver, prepare the soil, and plant the seeds and plants for this garden. We were only able to purchase and deliver the seeds and plants this year due to social distancing requirements. Luckily, local volunteers were able to plant. The plants are growing and will supply much needed fresh produce for the needy in that area. Where there's a will, there's a way!
