McKinney Rotary Club expects to collect in excess of 110 stuffed animals for Adam's Animals this month. Adam’s Animal’s has donated 75,000 new stuffed animals to the oncology wards and ERs in various Collin and Dallas hospitals.  Adam Hurst was a vibrant 18 year old Collin College students who was diagnosed with leukemia July 1999 and suddenly died 26 days later.  During those 26 days he kept a stuffed frog that had been given to him as a gift on his head or shoulder during chemo, blood transfusions, spinal taps and many sleepless nights—it became his friend and ally.  To honor his memory his parents started Adam’s Animals.
