Our Interact club has had a busy year so far! They have held a blood drive and have 2 more scheduled before the end of the school year. This benefits students and community members in need of lifesaving blood. In October, they made "Boo" pops to be distributed by Meals on Wheels of Rockwall in the weekly client goodie bags.
Also in October, during Fall Break, the students went to Feed My Starving Children which is an agency that sends meal kits overseas to impoverished areas. Their shift packed 135 boxes which was 29,160 meals provided to those in need across the globe. They also participated in a Trunk or Treat community event on October 28. In September, some of the members partnered with Noon Rotary at a community event to raise awareness of all non-profits in our county. They also collected items to donate to Women in Need in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The Interact club has approximately 90 members this year.
