On April 30th, the DeSoto Rotary Club, in partnership with the DeSoto Police Department, carried out a heartfelt Random Act of Kindness to honor the brave men and women of the DeSoto Fire Department. More than 30 firefighters were served warm Starbucks coffee and fresh donuts as a token of appreciation for their daily dedication to saving lives and protecting our community.
This act of gratitude was made possible thanks to the generosity of Mr. Rickie Thompson, manager of the Beltline Starbucks location, who graciously donated the hot, amazing coffee. Additional support came from Rosa E. Hernandez CEO of P & R Educational Solutions, LLC, who provided a delicious spread of donuts and kolaches to round out the morning.

Rotarians Velma Davison, Leon McCowan, David Scott, Adam Warren, Shelonda Weaver, and Rosa E. Hernandez were on hand to support the event, engage with our local heroes, and enjoy a meaningful morning of fellowship. The visit also included an opportunity to learn more about fire safety and the everyday life of our city's firefighters.

The DeSoto Rotary Club remains committed to celebrating those who serve and protect, and this small gesture was a powerful reminder of the impact of kindness and community.
