The Preston Trail Rotary Club is honored to announce the establishment of the Charles Skeen Memorial Scholarship, created in loving memory of a man who embodied Rotary’s guiding principle of Service Above Self.
Charles Skeen’s life was a testament to leadership, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to his community. Through decades of service, he inspired others to give generously of their time, talents, and hearts. Whether mentoring students, supporting local causes, or leading through quiet example, Charles left a lasting mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
This annual scholarship, sponsored by the Preston Trail Rotary Club, will support students in Gunter ISD who demonstrate a passion for learning, leadership, and community service values that reflect Charles’s life and legacy. Through this award, his spirit of compassion and dedication will continue to shape future generations of servant leaders.
