Around 45 Park Cities Rotary members, their families and friends came to the North Texas Food Bank Distribution Center in Plano on Saturday, October 5th.  Their goal was to sort and check each of the thousands of peanut butter jars collected from a food drive the Food Bank had just completed in Collin County.
They boxed 182 cases of peanut butter, equaling 6,849 pounds, that will be sent to other Food Pantry’s around Texas.  It was estimated that the work by the club generated about 5,728 meals.  Addressing hunger is in line with the club’s strategic priorities.
