Plano Sunrise Rotary has had a long working relationship with Lovepacs. Their mission is to provide Lovepacs to needy children in Plano ISD. Despite its reputation as en excellent school system, PISD has challenges with students facing food insecurity. LovePacs addresses that need by providing a box of food so that children on free/reduced price lunch, have food for the other meals of the day.
Plano Sunrise Rotary helped unload a truckful of donated food and placed them on the shelves at LovePacs. This will allow other volunteers to pack the food into the boxes (the Lovepacs) for distribution to the ultimate recipients.
A hungry child does not learn as well. Plano Sunrise is gladly taking on this task to Support Education.
