Duncanville Rotarians donated over 1,900 pairs of socks to The Stewpot, which is the #1 request for the homeless. The Club’s guest speaker was Buddy Jordan, a founding member of The Stewpot, Encore Park, and other missions relating to the First United Presbyterian Church.
During the meeting, Buddy shared the history of The Stewpot, his involvement, how he has engaged others, and the impact the soup kitchen is having on the Downtown Dallas community.
PS. Buddy was thrilled about the sock donation… Aside from food, socks are the #1 need for the homeless.
