A RYLA Alumni Fundraising committee is hard at work to make the most of North Texas Giving Day (NTXGD), coming up on September 18th. NTXGD is a massive regional campaign to raise funds for hundreds of local non-profits, and for the last several years, RYLA 5810 has participated to raise funds to help continue all the on-going district RYLA programs that extend beyond Camp RYLA and throughout the year.
This year is extra special as we celebrate 35 years of Camp RYLA 5810! We have already kicked off RYLA 2026 as we start with our student advisory group in just a few weeks that were selected from the 2025 campers.
Additionally, every Rotarian in our district should get a personal invitation from RYLA to take part in this super fun, super empowering fundraiser. Be looking for that email in early September.

Speaking of our year-round programming, we are still hard at work to provide our students and alumni with every opportunity to continue to grow as leaders:
- Day 7, on November 22, is the long-awaited “last day of camp.” After six consecutive days together in the summer, campers reunite for one more day of connection, reflection, and added training. Group activities and forward-leaning facilitations prepare participants for the final semester of high school and the transitions to life beyond.
- Winter Summit, on January 2-4, 2026, is a weekend retreat for college-aged RYLA alumni. Winter Summit is jam-packed with group activities and leadership facilitations to supply participants with connections and focus as they continue their leadership journey.
The work is never done, but when you're having this much fun, it's not really work at all.
