The Melissa Rotary Club partnered with Col Lowery and the Melissa community to conduct a Wreaths Across America ceremony on Sat Dec 14th. The Rotary Club and Interact Club marked graves the day prior to the ceremony.
Wreaths Across America is a nation-wide event that honors veterans by marking their graves with wreaths. The Melissa Cemetery has been in existence for well over 150 years. WE marked several graves of Civil war veterans. The picture is of an Iraqi war veteran who died serving our nation.
