We are excited to share the news announcing the selection of Francesco Arezzo of Italy to be 2025-26 Rotary International President. As you know, President-Elect Mario de Camargo notified the Board several weeks ago that he was resigning and would not accept the Presidency beginning July 1, for personal and business reasons. The Rotary Board of Directors acted quickly to fill the role with Francesco Arezzo of Italy. Meet the president-elect.

North Texas Pioneers Club cleaned the dog and cat kennels at Second Chance SPCA in Plano. This is an animal shelter that takes in a small selection of at risk rescue dogs and cats from local shelters.

The Fourth of July Parade is Friday, July 4 at 7:30 pm.  Parade route is down Spring Creek Pkwy.  The parade happens before the City’s All American 4th fireworks display. The parade committee is comprised of representatives from every Plano club, and they need everyone’s help to pull off this fun event for the community.

The members of Preston Hollow Rotary Club prepared breakfast for the B Shift of the Dallas Fire Station #41 in Preston Hollow located on Royal Lane next to the Tollway. The station was rebuilt after being destroyed in the 2019 tornado.

Community service was in full swing as the Waxahachie Rotary Club partnered with the Waxahachie Lions Club to install two new benches at the Getzendaner Street Housing Project park. With a basketball court and playground already in place, these benches add much-needed seating for families and residents.

The Prestonwood Rotary Club continues to inspire the next generation of community leaders through their unwavering support of the PTAA Interact Club. With heartfelt gratitude, we celebrate the graduation of the very first class of PTAA Interact Club members—an exceptional group of students who have collectively completed over 1,000 hours of community service.

It was a day for the birds—literally! The Addison Rotary Club winged it this time — soaring in to help the Raptor Center and proving they give a hoot about our feathered friends! We spent the day volunteering with the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center, diving into bird conservation and making paper mache enrichment toys to keep the Ambassador Raptors mentally stimulated and engaged. 

The Preston Trail Rotary Club of Celina and Gunter proudly hosted a special cookout to honor our incredible first responders. Members of both the Police and Fire Departments joined us for lunch as we took time to thank them for their unwavering service and dedication to our community. 

Many members and spouses of the Richardson Rotary Club showed up to enjoyed a happy hour with some delicious snacks and drinks at Cafe Gecko on June 23rd! Club members were able to connect and socialize in a more laid back setting, allowing for better connection with each other.

It's not Christmas... but, the Rotary Club of Duncanville decorated an Angel Tree for C5 Youth Foundation of Texas! During District Governor Regina Edwards' visit to the Club, Duncanville Rotarians donated suitcases, backpacks, and pledged money to assist the C5 youth with summer camp needs. 

North Texas Pioneers Club members have taken on a monthly project helping feed needy children in Plano. Lovepacs provides boxes of food for children who are in need when school meals are not available.

Don Hooten, a local McKinney resident, was honored by his longtime friend Greg Nothacker. What makes this unique is Greg is a Rotarian based in Louisiana.
